🔩 Compatible With All Core Bits Using 1/2" BSP Thread

All our dry core drill bits feature a 1/2" BSP female thread. These adaptors allow you to connect to the majority of professional and DIY power tools using:

• Hex Shank Adaptors – For standard 3-jaw chuck drills

• SDS Plus Adaptors – For rotary hammer drills (Note: Not for SDS Max, which are typically impact-only)

🧰 Complete Setup for Drilling with Core Bits

To start core drilling, you will need:

1. Hex or SDS Plus Adaptor

2. Guide Drill – Not required for 22mm and 28mm bits

3. Drift Key – For removing the guide drill after use

If you are drilling through standard walls, a 150mm core bit with a standard adaptor provides ample reach. For cavity walls or thicker masonry, we recommend using an extended adaptor for deeper access.

🛠️ Guide Drill & Pilot Hole Notes:

• All adaptors accept a guide drill, which helps center and stabilize the bit

• The guide drill has a tapered shaft and protrudes beyond the core bit

• Easily removed using a drift key after drilling

• You can also pre-drill a pilot hole if you’re unsure of wall contents

💦 Using a Wet Core Drill with Dry Bits?

No problem – we offer an adaptor with 1.25" UNC Female (drill side) to 1/2" BSP Male (core bit side) that includes a through-hole for water feed, allowing you to use dry diamond core bits with a wet core drilling machine.
