Plain Stripping Wheels
ex vat
Plain discs or wheels can be mounted to fixed (including tapered) spindle machines, or by using our mandrel (shaft assembly) they can be mounted for use on hand tools
Plain stripping wheel are for mounting on a tapered spindle, such as on a polishing mill, or a rotating shaft with clamps. They can also be mounted on a mandrel assembly to make a single or double width wheel driven by a drill or lathe chuck. Likewise, several can be added to a rotating shaft machine to form a wider wheel.
They are ideal for cleaning metal before painting or polishing. They will strip rust, paint, varnish and general tarnishing from metal as well as paint from wood. They will condition and grain stainless steel. The open structure resists loading. They are slightly flexible to resist gouging.
